Late yesterday, Johnny Archer released a statement about the live internet challenge match between Archer and Earl Strickland. Archer stated that "...it will feel great to beat Earl [Strickland] again."

When Strickland caught wind of Archer's claim, he quickly retorted stating that "Sure, of course he thinks he's gonna win. He's a competitor. We both want to win. He's got a good break- he breaks a little better than me. But we'll see what happens. He probably thinks I'm still playing poorly. And I just switched equipment again, am a lot healthier than the last time we played, I've been practicing a lot and feel like I'm going to win."
